If I’ve said it once in my life, I’ve said nine thousand times. ‘Stay away from your best friend’s sister!’ It worked for a while, until a college party. When that ended in disaster, I nearly had it tattooed on my forehead. We kept our distance after that, but I never filled that Avery shaped hole in my heart. Then my ‘brother from another mother’ tells me she’s here to take her position in the family company, and in she sweeps looking better than any of the fantasies I’ve had over the years. Fantastic. Cue the mantra. I don’t know why I think it’d work now. Avery isn’t someone you can ignore. She’s the world’s greatest distraction.

At one point, Luke was my everything. Our time together in college changed me on a molecular level and I was so sure we were destined to be that couple people wished they could be. Then reality slapped me in the face and my everything turned into a steaming pile of nothing. Fast forward two years, and all those Luke shaped molecules turn into Luke-haters. Now, he’s everything I hate in men. The top of my dating checklist says “Not Luke.” I don’t know why I think cannon balling back into his life is a good idea. At first, I just wanted to prove myself to him, and take my place at the company. But Luke’s a gorgeous distraction I don’t need, one I’m not sure my heart can handle.

Slap stick funny and made me laugh even though Owen can be ridiculous. The romance was cute with Avery and Lucas but a bit anti climatic. Liked that all the three couples played a big role in the storyline pulling the 3 books together. Not much substance to the romance but funny. Chemistry was a little flat with no real hot scenes. The humour kept it going. There is a bonus book with the 3 couples kids which might be a good read. Wanted to find out what happened to Kevin seeing as he was added to the storyline at the end it would have been nice to include him in the epilogue. The laughs will keep you amused.

Tapped out at chapter 7. They talk and act like 13 year olds. Not kidding, the banter, the hysterics, the insults and storming out of offices every 5 minutes.... She gets angry at the idea that she isn't as qualified to work there as her brothers but demonstrates zero professionalism or even doing any actual work. He goads her to the point of fighting, in their place of business, the panics that she's going to tell her brothers that they slept together. You could just not talk to her and everybody's happy.
