Dear World,
It’s been three weeks since I went… missing. The only way I know this is by watching the sunset and sunrise each day. I haven’t seen the outside of these walls in what feels like years. I have no way of communicating with the outside world. No phone. No internet. Nothing. I spend every single Godforsaken day in this… this cage, and I’m not sure how much longer I can just sit here and do nothing. I feel so scared all the time, but not for myself. I’m scared for him. He is my step-brother. He is insane, he is everything I should run from. Falling for him is definitely forbidden, but I can’t stop. And that scares me more than Marcus ever could. I don’t know what to do with my thoughts anymore. I’m trapped and I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel anymore. I just feel… empty. I am living in his nightmare, but I can’t bring myself to escape without him. He once told me that I craved his darkness. And I do. I crave him.

This started out quite promising and ended up not being that great. It felt like chunks of the book were missing. They just met like a couple of weeks ago, hardly spoke to each other, just felt some tension, and then you read a part which sounds like a lot more has happened between them. The quality of writing and plot descended from about the middle onwards. The start was really good though , so it’s a shame.
