Elena Castro’s in love with her best friend, Will. She’s never planned on telling him, even if he’s leaving for college next year. In fact, her only focus is figuring out how to keep her family’s bookstore open while managing her part-time at Melo’s Coffee. All that changes, when she’s assigned to train the owner’s grandson, Marco Silva, after he’s sent to work at the cafe.

Marco’s in love with Cecilia. The plan was always to tell her, but she took that chance when they shared a kiss and she disappeared from his life the very next day. Now that she’s back in Glensford, he doesn’t plan on wasting his chance to tell her how he feels. His plans are derailed when he’s punished and cut off from all his bank accounts. To make matters worse, Elena, a girl who dislikes him for no reason, is in charge of training him.

Then Cecilia and Will end up dating each other and Marco is forced to pretend to confess to Elena instead. The video of the confession goes viral over night. So he makes Elena an offer, pretend to date him until the attention dies down, and he’ll pay for the month of rent her family’s bookstore is behind on.
To his relief, Elena accepts and the two of them are off on their fake relationship, lying to their families and to the public alike. Soon they both realize it isn’t as difficult as they thought to pretend. Can they keep up their fake relationship without letting their feelings get in the way?
