A three-day weekend visit home goes terribly wrong when Lillian James stabs her dad and has no memory of doing it. Now, faced with six-months of court-ordered therapy, she’s stuck in her small hometown with her high school crush, Uriah Pendleton, judgmental townsfolk, and painful childhood memories that are bubbling to the surface. Can the Savior—who she lovingly calls Papa—heal her wounds while teaching her that the past doesn’t define the future and that He has a purpose for all things, even the bad?

WARNING: To my readers,
This is not my usual book. In fact, it is not like any of my other books. For starters, it’s written in first person present.
It is not a romance, although there is some romance in it. It is not a mystery, although there is some mystery in it.
To be honest, I’m not sure what category it fits in.
I can tell you two things about it.
First, it is not light reading. It is not something to read if you are looking for something fluffy as an escape from day to day life. There are lots of books for that, including my other books, but this is something completely different.
Second, it has a significant amount of religious content. If that sort of thing offends you, then please check out my other books. I have plenty to choose from.
Although it is written by a woman, about a woman and for women, I think it can be read by anyone. I hope you do read it and I hope you enjoy it but, let me say it again. This is nothing like my other books, so please don’t read this expecting the usual, because it’s not.
