Mild dark erotica. You shouldn't read this if you can't tolerate it. The book has a warning for reason.
No stars for this book from me. I hated it. I kept waiting for it to improve, but it never did. While I realize loads of people are into pain and suffering in their private lives, I am also aware that MOST of those relationships have a written contract that goes along with them...and they also have safe words. This Dom had no safe word for the woman he wanted to dominate. He took joy and even was aroused at her pain. When someone is in this type of relationship, there is usually always a way out for the Sub when a limit is reached. Dominate...NOT BREAK. It should NEVER go to this extreme. I realize how it ended for both of them was supposedly a happy ending, but I found it demeaning, cruel and totally unacceptable.
