He looked down at Lilah; it was almost comical to see such a small woman try to take him on. Her brunette hair was piled on top of her head, and her messy bun bounced around as she scolded him. He managed to keep his face stoic as she yelled at him, even though he fantasized about putting her in her place.
He did feel a little guilty about upsetting her so much. It wasn’t her fault that her boyfriend—well, one of her boyfriends—was a stingy, vindictive tool.
