Blake Martin’s is my dad’s best friend. He’s mouthwateringly gorgeous with strong hands rough from working construction; thick tree trunk thighs; and most of all, a smile that makes my heart flutter.
My high school boyfriend Nicky is missing something. I’m not sure what it is: enthusiasm, maybe? He never seems excited to get together, and one day at my house, our encounter goes completely haywire…
… when my dad’s best friend Blake bursts in! He sees what Nicky and I are doing and goes absolutely ballistic!
I protest. I tell Blake that I’m just trying to learn what other girls my age already know and Nicky was attempting to show me the mechanics. But my dad’s best friend takes one look at my puny boyfriend and literally growls.
I don’t need a boy to show me the ropes …
… I need a man.
But can we make this work, when the hardened, gorgeous Blake is my dad’s closest friend?

About This Morning, Book 2 of the Naughty Relations mini-series, was about 18-year-old Morgan Jones, a soon-to-be high school graduate, and 45-year-old Blake Martin, the owner of a construction company and her father's BFF from college. Blake had known Morgan all her life, having been friends with her parents since their college days. He had been there through her dad's marriage and subsequent divorce from her mother, but as she got older, he wasn't around as much. In fact, the last time he recalled seeing her was when she was sixteen. Megan was close to graduating high school when her BFF convinced her it was time for her to lose her V-card. While she did have a boyfriend, Nicky honestly wasn't all that appealing as her prospective "first", but she decided to get it over with. However, as they were just getting into their spicy scene, Blake entered her house, found them in the beginnings of it all, and called a halt to it. From that point on, things with Morgan and Blake took off, although it wasn't always smooth sailing. Blake waxed hot and cold, and when he did, Morgan didn't crack. She stood her ground and told him how she was going to do things, whether or not he participated. This was a fun story to read and it had all the angst, drama, and spiciness a reader could ask for, and the emotional rollercoaster was full of the usual twists and turns. Still, it had even more problems that detracted from the enjoyment of reading it. The book needed some major editing. In Chapter 1, the FMC's boyfriend was named Nicky. But in Chapter 2, his name was suddenly Ricky, then it went right back to Nicky only a few paragraphs later. This happened for most of the book, waffling back and forth with different names for the pitiful kid. Lame. There were more grammatical errors in this story than was comfortable to encounter in one story, and the short book was full of fluff-n-stuff. I could only give this a two-star rating.
